American Dealers: Fox Valley Promo

Tonight we are joined by Brendan Edgerton of Country Cupboard Antiques, as he tells us about his journey as a dealer at the Fox Valley Antiques Show. Brendan gives us great insight into the significance of buying old vs. new, and how important it is for the younger generation to get involved with antiques. We were sad that we couldn't film at the spring Fox Valley show this year, but we will be sure to come to the next show in the fall!

Good evening! Tonight we are joined by Tim Chambers of Missouri Plain Folk, who shows us his beautifully painted sign from the early 20th century. Tim eloquently explains the importance of advertising through signage, and how the art of sign-making has changed throughout history. Be sure to come to the spring Fox Valley Antiques Show to see more wonderful antiques and dealers!

American Dealers minisode featuring Colleen Alpers

Happy Friday! Tonight we kick off the weekend with a new minisode from the Fox Valley Antiques Show! We are joined by the wonderful Colleen Alpers, who shows us her beautiful handwritten cypher book, dating from the mid 19th century! These books were carefully written out by schoolchildren, and show great detail in their handwriting, which we don't often see these days. Be sure to keep on the lookout for brand new Fox Valley minisodes coming soon!
